June 27: Number of new COVID-19 cases slightly decreased to 75 cases

COVID-19 patients are mostly elderly people with underlying diseases.

The Ministry of Health 's COVID-19 prevention bulletin on June 27 said there were 75 new COVID-19 cases, a slight decrease compared to the previous day.

COVID-19 situation in Vietnam

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,620,264 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,432 infections per 1 million people).

1. Number of patients recovered:

Patients announced cured in the day: 37 cases

Total number of cured cases: 10,640,023 cases

2. The number of patients on oxygen is 5 cases, of which oxygen is breathed through a mask: 4 cases; high flow oxygen HFNC: 0 cases; non-invasive ventilation: 1 case; invasive ventilation: 0 cases; ECMO: 0 cases

3. Number of deaths:

There were 0 deaths recorded on the day.

Average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days: 0 cases. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

Total deaths ranked 26th/231 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st/231 countries and territories in the world .

Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th/50 (ranked 3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranks 29th/50 countries and territories in Asia (ranked 5th in ASEAN).

COVID-19 vaccination status

On June 26, 1,260 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected.

Thus, the total number of vaccine doses injected is 266,488,728 doses, of which the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over is 223,808,471 doses: 70,909,524 doses for the first dose; 68,457,304 doses for the second dose; 14,344,123 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,160,696 doses for the first booster dose; 17,936,824 doses for the second booster dose.

The number of doses for children aged 12-17 is 23,965,655 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,382 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,384 doses.

The number of doses for children aged 5-11 is 18,714,602 doses: 10,232,333 doses for the first dose; 8,482,269 doses for the second dose.
