On December 15th, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Head of the Organization Department of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, stated that according to statistics, the unit had received over 3,800 applications for the first recruitment round of teachers in 2025. The application process ended on the afternoon of December 14th.
According to the approved plan, Nghe An province will recruit 840 teachers and school staff for preschool, primary, and lower secondary levels.

Candidates must pass a screening process to verify their qualifications and application standards before participating in an oral examination of their professional knowledge and skills. Each candidate will have 30 minutes for the oral examination, with a scoring scale of 100 points.
However, due to the overwhelming number of applications, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training has adjusted its recruitment methods to ensure timely recruitment and the provision of additional teachers for educational institutions throughout the province.
After passing the initial screening of qualifications and application standards, candidates participate in Round 2, which is an essay-based exam. The essay exam includes testing the candidate's knowledge and professional skills required for the job position being advertised, within a time limit of 180 minutes.
Candidates who pass the civil servant recruitment exam must achieve a score of 50 points or higher in Round 2; the total score from Round 2 plus any priority points (if applicable) will be higher than the remaining score, ranked from highest to lowest within the recruitment quota for the desired job position and within each application group.
This adjustment does not apply to candidates eligible for recruitment under Government Decree No. 179/2024/ND-CP and to the recruitment of contract preschool teachers under Government Decree No. 06/2018/ND-CP and Joint Circular No. 09/2013/TTLT-BGDĐT-BTC-BNV dated March 11, 2013.
The essay portion of the exam for candidates is expected to be held over two days, December 27th and 28th.
Regarding teacher recruitment, Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, demanded that objectivity be ensured and that absolutely no one be allowed to interfere.
The head of Nghe An province instructed the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Internal Affairs to establish a recruitment council and organize a clear, open, and transparent examination to select the right quality personnel for the sector.
Mr. Vo Trong Hai emphasized that if any complaints or grievances arise during the teacher recruitment process, the province will establish an inspection team and request the investigative agency to get involved.
