Last night, fellow artists attended the memorial service, singing traditional songs and excerpts from Cai Luong opera in memory of Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang, who passed away suddenly after a long battle with heart and lung disease at the age of 54.

On her personal page, singer Ha My wrote: "I heard the news this morning. So Tam Ca (Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang) of "Ngu Muoi" has really passed away. We have been together, filming many cai luong plays at HTV. We have been together for nearly 6 years on the same stage at Tran Huu Trang Theater. There are so many memories. Now I would like to repost the pictures and cai luong play that you like the most, "Dau Dien Thuong Dau". Our group of 5 brothers now has only 4: People's Artist Trong Phuc, People's Artist Tan Giao, Meritorious Artist Quoc Kiet and me. I will always remember you".

Meritorious Artist Phan Quoc Kiet, Director of Tran Huu Trang Theater, shared that on the evening of September 29, at Tran Huu Trang Opera House, the play "Spring Night Dream" was a great success. The auditorium was packed with audiences, the lively atmosphere and resounding applause demonstrated the public's passionate love for Cai Luong art, including the participation of Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang.

"Even though he was seriously ill, he still went to the rehearsal room and worked hard with everyone in the project of staging the work "Saigon Fire" directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, of which he was an assistant. Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang's spirit of artistic work is a shining example for the young generation of artists to follow."
