RESOLUTION On the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the period 2023

STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of Local Government No. 77/2015/QH13, amended and supplemented by a number of articles under Law No. 21/2017/QH14 and Law No. 47/2019/QH14;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 35/2023/UBTVQH15 dated July 12, 2023 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district- and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2030 period;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 1211/2016/UBTVQH13 dated May 25, 2016 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on standards of administrative units and classification of administrative units, which has been amended and supplemented with a number of articles under Resolution No. 27/2022/UBTVQH15 dated September 21, 2022 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;

Considering the Government 's proposal in Submission No. 359/TTr-CP dated July 6, 2024, Verification Report No. 3025/BC-UBPL15 dated July 22, 2024 of the Law Committee,

RESOLUTION:

Article 1. Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province

1. Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Son Duong district as follows:

a) Establish Hong Son commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 9.76 km ² and the population of 6,038 people of Hong Lac commune and the entire natural area of 9.59 km ² and the population of 3,538 people of Van Son commune. After establishment, Hong Son commune has a natural area of 19.35 km ² and a population of 9,576 people.

Hong Son commune borders Chi Thiet, Dong Quy, Hao Phu, Quyet Thang, Truong Sinh, Van Phu communes and Phu Tho province;

b) After the arrangement, Son Duong district has 30 commune-level administrative units, including 29 communes and 01 town.

2. After the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Tuyen Quang province has 07 district-level administrative units, including 01 city and 06 districts; 137 commune-level administrative units, including 121 communes, 10 wards and 06 towns.

Article 2. Entry into force

This Resolution comes into force from September 1, 2024.

Article 3. Implementation

1. The Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and stabilizing the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.

2. The Nationalities Council, the Committees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall supervise the implementation of this Resolution.
