Mr. Sen also added that when he was young, a Chinese fortune teller, after reading his horoscope, said:

- This boy has the fortune to eat from the people.

His father was not happy and replied:

- So I gave birth to a beggar.

Many interesting details like that have been specifically shown scattered throughout the notebooks.

Regarding my writing career, on June 23, 1996, he said: "In 1963, I was a pure writer, sometimes I stopped being angry when I said something rude, but I was lucky to choose two leisurely hobbies: 1. The hobby of collecting books, enjoying the hobby of choosing and distinguishing which series was published in full as the author wrote; 2. Analyzing and bringing antique toys to a higher level. Which is the hobby, which is the art, which objects should be bought, which ancient objects should be treasured. Both hobbies, if I write in time and finish, will be perfect, I can close my eyes."

During the time Mr. Sen was sick, many people came to visit, inquire about, and pay him royalties. Among those people, I especially paid attention to the care and role of Mr. Tran Bach Dang, because sometimes he mentioned and recounted many things that the author of Van bai lat ngua had done for him. From Mr. Tran Bach Dang letting Mr. Sen move from a normal room to a room with air conditioning and full amenities; from entrusting doctors to take good care of him to transferring his manuscript of Saigon Censorship to the publisher, etc.

During this time, through meticulous records, we see that many people came to visit him such as Mr. Le Hoang, then Director of Tre Publishing House, musician Truong Quang Luc, poet Ton Nu Hy Khuong, Mr. Khai Tri Nguyen Hung Truong, Mr. Bay Cau Vo Ngoc An...

On July 5, 1996, Sinologist Cao Tu Thanh and historian Duong Trung Quoc visited, after which Mr. Thanh came to give the old man "a magnetic mug containing daily drinking water to cure nerve pain". The old man wrote in his notebook on July 30, 1996: "Thank you very much. My old body has been taken care of by many people here, the money transferred or the favors are even heavier. I wrote 3 volumes of diary here to thank the "grass and water" for the old horse standing tired. I pray and promise Thanh to meet me one day at my humble abode".

Interestingly, there was a very famous artist, who was in the same period as him, who also came to visit: People's Artist Phung Ha. Mr. Sen wrote: "God is so cruel, he has given me a surprise. A year has passed, I don't remember exactly which year I was in this hospital with eczema, the doctor who treated me was the young and cheerful Mai Bach Van, suddenly one morning, it happened to be the "doctor's day", I was the patient who had the duty to come to celebrate. Suddenly, the doctor announced: In this room there are two guests. This is Mrs. Phung Ha, this is Mr. Vuong Hong Sen.

Before I could hide, Mrs. Phung Ha stood up and asked loudly:

- Mr. Sen! You're here, why don't you come say hello to me?

I had to stand up and politely say:

- Miss Bay, Nam Sa Dec told me to go greet the pregnant woman but I disobeyed, saying I would go when I recovered, I didn't expect to meet you here, so I ask Bay to forgive me.

Let me remind you what year it was? Duy remembers that I was still healthy, about sixty or seventy years old. Today, July 27, 1996, I was 94 years old, 95 years old, a plump French doctor, strong, handsome, and gentle, entered the room, pulled out a chair, and I was lying down waiting to be examined. The doctor asked:

- Do you know whose old room you were in?

- Yes, I know the previous room was Mrs. Phung Ha's room.

- Who told you?

- Yes, Mr. Tran Bach Dang and Ms. Phung Ha. Yesterday, Ms. Phung Ha came to say goodbye to me before leaving this place.

The story progressed and I realized that the doctor who was taking my pulse was indeed Mr. Mai Bach Van, I was grateful to him last year so I wrote this article called "Meeting a soul mate". The earth keeps spinning, the sun moves and shines, so we meet each other peacefully".

Mr. Sen stayed at Nguyen Trai Hospital from June 24, 1996 to August 23, 1996. On the day of discharge, he wrote in his notebook: "Em Tung. Today I was sent home at 9/1 Nguyen Thien Thuat, Gia Dinh, because it was too urgent to let Mr. Bach Dang know and asked Tung to come and inform him." However, a few months later, on December 8, 1996, Mr. Sen returned here for emergency treatment, and died at 8:30 a.m. on December 9, 1996 at the hospital.

Touchingly, his last wish was: "When I die, please do not make a big fuss about my funeral. My body will be brought back to Soc Trang and buried at the feet of my parents." In the condolence book, historian, Professor Tran Van Giau and researcher Tran Bach Dang wrote: "We deeply mourn our old friend, who has made great contributions to the national culture. I hope he is happy in the other world ."
