From May 30 to June 2, 2025, Quan The Am Pagoda (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City) will be the place to enshrine Buddha's relics in the Central region . This is an important event within the framework of the United Nations Vesak 2025, marking the first time Buddha's relics have been brought and enshrined in many localities in Vietnam. In particular, Da Nang City is one of the 5 provinces and cities added thanks to the desire to worship from a large number of Buddhists and people.

With its back against Thai Son mountain and facing the poetic Co Co river, Quan The Am pagoda creates a Zen-like scene like a spiritual painting in the heart of Da Nang. Buddha relics will be invited for people and tourists to worship from May 30 to June 2.

Most Venerable Thich Thong Dao , Member of the Executive Council, Permanent Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Da Nang City, said that welcoming the Buddha's relics at the same time as the opening of the International Fireworks Festival is a special opportunity, creating conditions for many tourists and Buddhists to come and worship, while combining tourism and exploring the culture of the city on the Han River.

On May 22, Thanh Nien reporters at Quan The Am Pagoda recorded that Buddhists were urgently extending the cable system from the top of Thai Son Mountain to neighboring mountains to hang banners according to Buddhist rituals, to announce the upcoming festival. Inside the main hall, many Buddhists were present to sweep and clean the solemn area, ready to invite the Buddha's relics to the revered position.

"Being able to worship Buddha's relics right in Da Nang is a great blessing. We Buddhists not only come to worship, but also wish to contribute a little effort, serving people and tourists from all over as a way to show our sincerity and merit to Buddha", Ms. Tran Thi Ha (Buddhist of Nam Son Pagoda, Hoa Vang District) shared.
The path leading up to the main hall of Quan The Am Pagoda stands out with two majestic, winding dragon mascots, creating a strong impression on Buddhists and visitors from the very first steps.

Located at the foot of Kim Son Mountain , one of the five sacred mountains of the Ngu Hanh Son complex, Quan The Am Pagoda , where Buddha's relics are enshrined, is an old and famous spiritual destination in the Central region. Established in 1957, the pagoda has gradually become a place to preserve and spread Buddhist cultural values and is closely associated with the lives of local people.
If you come to Quan The Am Pagoda in the second lunar month, you will be immersed in the Quan The Am Festival. This festival has been one of the 15 major national festivals since 2000, and was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021.

Quan The Am Pagoda not only stands out with its serene architecture and poetic scenery, but also possesses a set of 16 unique ink-and-ink porcelain paintings attached to the walls of four large towers: Phuoc Hue, Thai Hoa, Thanh Tuu and Vien Man.
The series of paintings was meticulously crafted over two years by artisans from Bat Trang pottery village. Each painting depicts a famous landscape of Vietnam, accompanied by poems assembled from colorful porcelain pieces.
In 2023, this set of paintings was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization . recognized as "The largest unique porcelain wall painting set". This is not only the pride of the temple, but also a highlight for visitors to admire the cultural and artistic values in the quiet space of Zen.

Quan The Am Pagoda is located at 48 Su Van Hanh Street (Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District), only about 9 km from the center of Da Nang City and 25 km from Hoi An ancient town.
From Da Nang city center: follow Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa - Le Van Hien route, then turn to Su Van Hanh, total travel time is about 15 minutes by taxi, motorbike or car.
From Hoi An: follow Tran Hung Dao sea route connecting Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa, only takes about 35 - 40 minutes.
On the journey, visitors can visit nearby places such as: Ngu Hanh Son, Non Nuoc stone carving village, My Khe beach, or explore famous local restaurants with Quang noodles, banh xeo, bun mam...
After a peaceful pilgrimage to the pagoda, visitors can return to the city center to immerse themselves in the vibrant fireworks festival. The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) will officially open on the evening of May 31 on the west bank of the Han River, promising eye-catching performances from teams from France, Japan, China, Italy, etc.
This year, DIFF has the theme "Shining Heritage - Sparkling Han River", with the expectation of making Da Nang become the leading festival destination in Asia. Visitors will be able to admire fireworks with music, lights, and a "huge" scale stage.
