In set 2, things did not get better when Eala lost 1-6, thereby stopping in round 1 of Rome Masters 2025. Kostyuk will face Kasatkina in round 2.
Alexandra Eala made a splash by reaching the Miami Open semi-finals and impressing at this year’s Madrid Open. At 19, the Filipino is already in the top 70 of the world rankings and is expected to go far in the future.
Despite stopping early at the Rome Masters, with her ranking in the top 70 of women's singles, Alexandra Eala will not have to participate in the qualifying round and will be able to compete directly in the Grand Slam and WTA Masters 1000 tournaments. The Southeast Asian star's next goal is to go far at Roland Garros at the end of May.

In the first round of the women's singles at the Rome Masters 2025, Emma Raducanu had a tough match against Maya Joint. The British player won the first set 7-5, but in the second set, Raducanu lost the tie-break 6-7.
In set 3, Raducanu played calmly and confidently, helping her win 6-3. The 2002-born player won a ticket to round 2 of the Rome Masters 2025 and will face Alexandrova.
