Stop publishing the book series "Puzzles for Preschoolers" with incorrect knowledge

As SGGP Newspaper has reported, in the book series Puzzles for Preschoolers , published by SBooks (the parent company of Skids Books) in association with Literature Publishing House, there is a lot of incorrect knowledge information. The book series consists of 6 books corresponding to the topics: Insects ; Household items 1, 2 ; Kitchen ; Baby items ; Means of transport . However, in the book with the topic of Insects, the author added animals such as bats, mice, lizards, and millipedes. Not to mention, in addition to the bee that appeared on page 2, the author continued to "add" a beehive on page 10 of this book.

In the book Household Appliances 1 , the author "transforms" the house (page 7) into an appliance with the following riddle: "Everyone needs one/ To shelter from the sun and rain/ Morning and afternoon with parents/ Family reunion". In Means of Transport , the author also classified the road (page 7) as a means of transport.

The book series "Puzzles for preschool children" includes 6 books, corresponding to different topics.

Not only is the knowledge incorrect, the Puzzles for Preschool Children book series also violates the Publishing Law. Specifically, on the cover of the Puzzles for Preschool Children series, all 6 books only have the book title and author's name without information about the publisher or the publishing unit. Meanwhile, according to the regulations on Information recorded on publications in Clause a, Article 26 of the Publishing Law: For books and documents in the form of books, information recording is carried out according to the following regulations: Cover one records the book title, author's name, publisher or agency, organization authorized to publish, and the serial number of the volume.

According to Ms. Doan Phuong Thoa, co-founder of SKids brand, immediately after receiving feedback about the book series, SKids team immediately checked, verified the information and admitted that as the reader provided, the book series had many pages with basic incorrect information. The unit stopped distributing the entire system to avoid affecting the interests of customers.

Bats, mice... are "transformed" into insects by author Hue An in a book with the same theme.

“The mistakes in basic knowledge in the children's book series Puzzles for Preschoolers were beyond the expectations of the SKids bookmakers. We would like to apologize and learn from our mistakes. Parents who have purchased this book series can contact SKids to return the book and exchange it for other quality books,” said Ms. Doan Phuong Thoa.

More information about the Puzzles for Preschoolers book series, Ms. Doan Phuong Thoa said that in the process of reprinting the titles of Catbooks (a former children's book publisher), because they subjectively believed that the previously published books would no longer have problems, the SKids team proceeded to print and release them on the market.

“Because we were newly established, our human resources were limited, and the censorship process was not strict and thorough, these unfortunate errors occurred. This is an important lesson and also a memorable reminder for us in our future publishing journey,” Ms. Doan Phuong Thoa expressed.

According to a representative of SKids, the unit will recall reprinted publications from the Catbooks manuscript source, and the Catbooks reprint project will also be suspended indefinitely.
