Kon Tum people support northern provinces affected by storms and floods

(NADS) - Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promote the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love and affection", "the rich help the poor" of the Vietnamese people, on September 15, hundreds of people, associations and groups in Kon Tum province joined hands to donate necessities to support the people of the North who suffered damage caused by storm No. 3.

The donated items include food, essential necessities including bottled water, dry food, milk, canned meat, sausages, banh chung, clothes, blankets, shoes of all kinds, etc. to join hands to support the people, as well as the military forces, militia, guerrillas, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union who are working day and night in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, quickly stabilizing economic and social life. Showing the love and sharing of the ethnic people on the Kon Tum Plateau with the people of the northern provinces and cities during this difficult period.

Talking to reporters of Photography and Life Magazine, Mr. Ngo Xuan Phong Bao, representative of the Kon Tum charity group, said that in the face of the heavy losses in human lives and property caused by storm No. 3 in the northern provinces, our Charity group met to discuss ways to call on everyone to post on social networks such as Zalo, Facebook... to set a date and time to receive relief goods, and to transport relief goods to deliver directly to people in areas affected by natural disasters caused by storm Yagi. After posting, in just two days, over 2,000 people participated in supporting. Among them, friends from Ho Chi Minh City took responsibility for transporting all relief goods for free. On the morning of September 15, hundreds of people from remote border districts such as Ia H'Drai, Sa Thay, Ngoc Hoi, Dak Glei transported goods to the gathering place at Square 16/3 to deliver goods to us. Dozens of young volunteers came to load 4 large trucks, each carrying 20 to 30 tons of relief goods for people in communes of Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province.

Also on September 15, the Real Estate Association of Dak Ha and Mang Den districts (Kon Plong district) of Kon Tum province, together with the people of Dak Ha district, donated 100 million VND in cash and 1,000 gifts worth 500 million VND including necessities transported on 5 vehicles of various types to support the people of Minh Chuan commune, Lac Yen district, Yen Bai province and Viet Tien commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province. All vehicles departed in the late afternoon of the same day and are expected to arrive in the northern provinces by September 17.

Kon Tum people joined hands with the whole country, contributing funds, necessities to support, encourage, and help compatriots affected by storm No. 3, demonstrating the noble gesture of the Vietnamese people " a piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full", contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual love and sharing with compatriots affected by natural disasters.
