Sick man "shoulders" the whole family

BPO - In the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, while many people are still working hard to make a living with simple dreams, there are lives that are struggling to endure the pain and unhappiness in life. That is the situation of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien (48 years old) in Group 1, Truong Thinh Hamlet, Phuoc An Commune, Hon Quan District.

He also had a small family like many others, but his happiness was not complete when his son was about 4 years old and his wife divorced, leaving Mr. Tien to become a single father. Currently, his son, Nguyen Xuan Dao (born in 2009), is in 9th grade.

Before, when he was healthy, Mr. Tien was the main breadwinner in the family. Despite the hardships of earning a small daily wage, he still tried his best every day to provide food and clothing for his family. However, since 2024, Mr. Tien suffered a stroke and his health has deteriorated, making his family's life increasingly difficult.

After the stroke, his health declined but Mr. Tien still had to take care of his disabled brother.

For over a year, Mr. Tien’s family has relied solely on social assistance for the elderly, his biological mother and his disabled brother, which is 1.2 million VND/month. Mr. Tien’s biological mother is 89 years old this year, and his disabled brother can only sit in one place and cannot take care of himself. Mr. Tien also raises two orphaned nephews at home.

After the stroke, Mr. Tien could not walk properly, so no one hired him. To earn money to support his family, he tried to collect rubber latex. However, despite his efforts, he could only collect a few kilos each day, which he could sell for a few tens of thousands of dong to buy rice and vegetables.

Secretary of Truong Thinh Hamlet Party Cell Nguyen Van Can shared: The difficulties of Mr. Tien's family are too great. He is the main breadwinner of the family with a mother nearly 90 years old, a disabled brother who cannot take care of himself, raising a son and 2 orphaned grandchildren for a stroke victim like Mr. Tien is beyond his ability. We hope that philanthropists, businesses and organizations will help his family overcome this period and help him recover his health so that he can continue to take care of his family.

Every day, Mr. Tien tries to slowly walk to collect rubber latex to sell to earn a few tens of thousands to buy rice to eat every day.

Every sharing is a miracle. Hopefully, with the spirit of "helping each other", benefactors will give love and light up hope for Mr. Tien's family.

The humanitarian TV program "Thirst for Life" will connect to give gifts at 9:00 a.m. on May 29, 2025 at Mr. Tien's family in Group 1, Truong Thinh Hamlet, Phuoc An Commune, Hon Quan District, Binh Phuoc Province. We look forward to receiving the support of organizations, individuals and benefactors.
