Locals and foreign tourists dance together in the Western Quarter

Last night, April 6, at An Thuong tourist area (Tay An Thuong street, Da Nang city), a street carnival took place, attracting thousands of excited participants.

The program is jointly organized by My An Ward (Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City), Da Nang College of Culture and Arts, event organizing companies and restaurants in Tay An Thuong Street, aiming to bring products to develop the night economy in the area.

Program with diverse content and style

The carnival at Tay An Thuong Street is inspired by world-famous festivals and carnivals, such as Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with a scale suitable for the walking street space here.

The expat community living and staying in the Western Quarter experienced both traditional and modern dances. Everyone joined in the rhythm, relaxed and sublimated with the music.

Besides modern dances there are also traditional dances.

The dance offers exciting cultural experiences.

The performances and dances are diverse in Latin, Samba, and Tango styles from Europe and America, as well as traditional Vietnamese dances.

The cultural richness offers both expatriates and locals exciting experiences, learning about the cultures of countries and peoples around the world.

Thousands of people connected and interacted through modern dances or practiced bamboo dancing to Vietnamese music.

Mr. Huynh Duc Vinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of My An Ward (Ngu Hanh Son District), said that after organizing a variety of cultural and artistic activities in the An Thuong tourist area, the locality received support from the community and businesses to participate in socialization, contributing more utilities and night-time economic products to serve the needs of dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation.

Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, Da Nang City and Ngu Hanh Son District invested in expanding and developing Tay An Thuong City to meet the needs of the foreign community and tourists staying and traveling here.

Phase 1 of Tay An Thuong Street has been effective. Currently, Da Nang City has decided to continue expanding the space, investing in phase 2, upgrading technical infrastructure, landscape, check-in points, utilities, new products, etc.
