Fans rejoice as Vietnam team 'wins the match without Bich Tuyen'

Thousands of fans posted comments on volleyball forums, praising coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team for overcoming the mental pressure after star Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen's decision to leave the team.

On the evening of August 19, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team defeated the Kenyan team 4-0 in the final friendly match before leaving for the Women's Volleyball World Championship. This was also the team's first match after Bich Tuyen announced her departure from the team.

The reason for the 4th game is because the friendly tournament wants to create conditions for reserve players of both teams to compete.

Kenya is considered a very strong opponent, ranked 23rd in the world (1 place below Vietnam), and is in the same group as Vietnam in the upcoming tournament. The two teams will face each other in the final match of Group G, taking place on August 27.

Previously, Kenya showed its strength by making things difficult for Spain - the team that won 4 games without a win against Vietnam. Many people think that because Vietnam is the opponent in the same group, this team from Africa deliberately "hides its cards".

However, thousands of comments from fans on volleyball forums highly appreciate coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's resourcefulness after losing Bich Tuyen.

First was the decision to let middle blocker Nguyen Thi Trinh take the first step. Nicknamed "Electric Trinh" because of her lightning-fast playing style, the 28-year-old athlete from Dak Lak still adapted well to the new role.

On social media, many fans praised Coach Tuan Kiet for his resourcefulness. "Now, Coach Kiet can handle any team," commented fan TH.

Many people also praised Vietnam's playing style in this match for being more diverse, no longer relying too much on Bich Tuyen.
