Retirees receive their July pension 3-5 days earlier

To ensure the new salary reaches the beneficiaries soon, Vietnam Post has added more payment points and payment desks. The pension payment time will be 3-5 days earlier than the old schedule.

Information about changes to the July pension payment schedule was announced by Mr. Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post on July 2.

Retirees will receive their July pension earlier than previous months.

According to the leader of Vietnam Post, after the Government issued Decree No. 75/2024/ND-CP adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances to increase by 15%, this unit immediately implemented the payment of regimes to beneficiaries. "The pension payment schedule for July will be 3-5 days faster than the old schedule. We hope that in the first month of receiving the new pension, retirees will receive their salary as quickly as possible, creating momentum and bringing joy to the uncles and aunts," Mr. Hao shared. In order for the new salary to reach beneficiaries soon, the postal sector has arranged maximum staff for payment, added payment points and payment desks; and extended the payment time. Specifically, from July 1 to 10, the payment will take place at points in communes, wards and towns. From July 11 to 25, Vietnam Post continues to pay late salary and allowance recipients at post office transaction points. The payment schedule varies by locality as agreed upon by the social insurance agency and the post office and notified to the beneficiaries. When receiving pensions, social insurance benefits and authorized recipients need to bring the required documents: payment card, valid authorization letter. Payments via ATM accounts to beneficiaries will be made by Vietnam Post as soon as the list and money from the social insurance are received, no later than the next day. For elderly beneficiaries who are unable to travel and do not have a replacement recipient, Vietnam Post continues to pay at home, without charging any fees to beneficiaries. "With the initiative to develop specific plans and many years of payment experience, Vietnam Post commits to paying the new benefit level to each beneficiary promptly, accurately and safely," a representative of Vietnam Post affirmed. According to Vietnam Social Security, as of 5 p.m. on July 1, the entire Social Security sector has paid pensions and monthly social insurance benefits at the new benefit levels to more than 2.3 million people out of a total of 3.3 million beneficiaries (reaching 70%). In particular, beneficiaries who registered to receive benefits through personal accounts have been paid at the new benefit levels; the elderly and incapacitated have been paid directly at home by the Social Security agency. In order for beneficiaries to receive benefits as quickly and promptly as possible, the Vietnam Social Security sector is continuing to pay all beneficiaries according to regulations in the coming days. The representative of Vietnam Social Security acknowledged: "The 15% increase in pension is the highest increase ever, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to those receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits, ensuring reasonableness, harmony, and sharing between those paying social insurance and those receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits; between the state sector and the non-state sector; between generations participating in and benefiting from the policy". In addition to the monthly pension, beneficiaries are also given a free health insurance card during their retirement to enjoy medical examination and treatment and health care benefits paid by the Health Insurance Fund at a rate of 95%.
