Previously, patient K. was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of severe headache, vomiting and weakness in the left side of the body lasting about 6 months. MRI images showed that the tumor was pressing heavily on the brain structures of the right hemisphere. After specialist consultation and careful preparation, on October 27, the surgical team performed surgery to remove the entire tumor. 4 hours after surgery, the patient was awake, moving all four limbs normally, CT scan images showed that the tumor had been completely removed. The patient recovered well and was discharged after 5 days of treatment.

The tumor weighing about 600 grams was removed.

Dr. Le Hoang Nha, Deputy Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Tra Vinh General Hospital, recommends that people with symptoms of prolonged headache, vomiting, numbness in limbs or changes in behavior or vision should see a specialist early to detect the disease promptly.
People should not arbitrarily use painkillers or delay examination because it can mask symptoms and cause the disease to progress.
Regular brain MRI scans in people with suspected symptoms help detect brain tumors early, especially meningiomas - a disease that can be effectively treated if intervened early.
