Schoolyard turns into football festival: Children's football team gets fueled

Not just a football playground, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - VJSS Yamaha Cup 2025 is creating a strong wave of school sports. The organizers' journey of 'fueling 32 football teams' has turned each flag-raising ceremony into an inspiring football festival. The latest stop - Thuan Kieu Primary School (Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is a living proof of that spirit.

The organizers went to each school to encourage the football team.

On the morning of November 10, the schoolyard of Thuan Kieu Primary School was more bustling than ever. The sound of drums, cheers, and hundreds of eager eyes welcomed the delegation who brought the "fire" of school football to the students. Speaking to the whole school, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - head of the tournament organizing committee - Director of VJSS Center shared: "We want to bring the spirit of fair-play and the desire to conquer to each schoolyard. Each child today can be a player of the future. But above all, they learn the spirit of never giving up."

Representatives of the tournament organizing committee and sponsors presented gifts of encouragement to the Thuan Kieu Primary School football team.

Not only encouraging in spirit, the organizers also presented competition uniforms, standard training balls and 3 million VND to support the school's football team. Ms. Le Thi Thoa - Principal of Thuan Kieu Primary School expressed: "We are very grateful to the organizers for bringing a meaningful festival. This is a great source of encouragement for the children to be more confident, love sports and live more consciously."

Looking forward to an explosive season with an exciting competition format

After the flag-raising ceremony, the school yard became a training ground for young players. VJSS coaches, trained according to Japanese standards, directly instructed the school team on techniques. Controlling, shooting and passing were meticulously edited. Each touch of the ball was a lesson in skill and team spirit.

This is an activity within the journey of "fueling the 32 football teams", when the organizers and sponsors come to each school (32 schools) to encourage, support and inspire students and players before the tournament officially starts.

The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament will take place on November 29 and 30 at Thu Duc Football Club, with 32 primary school football teams ready to bring exciting competitions.

The tournament has 8 groups, each consisting of 4 teams. After the group stage, the teams will be classified into 4 divisions: champion A, B, C and D. This model ensures that no team is eliminated early, as each team has the opportunity to play to the final match and compete for the championship trophy in their division.
