Woman in Bac Ninh claims to have found the benefactor who lent her 8 taels of gold 20 years ago

After more than 3 days of sharing on social media, a woman in Bac Ninh said she found a benefactor who lent her 8 taels of gold to treat her child's hemangioma 20 years ago.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online on the evening of March 16, Ms. Hai Nam (in Bac Ninh) confirmed that she had found Ms. Nga - the benefactor who lent her 8 taels of gold to treat her son's hemangioma 20 years ago.

"Ms. Nga proactively contacted me, not someone who knew Ms. Nga and then informed me" - Ms. Hai Nam said.

In a clip broadcast live on her personal Facebook page on the evening of March 16, Ms. Hai Nam talked via video with a woman.

Specifically, at the beginning of the live broadcast, Ms. Hai Nam talked about the time more than ten years ago when she went to many places to find her benefactor.

"In 2009, I was in so much pain. I felt like going to Taiwan but I still remembered your gold so I couldn't do anything since I didn't have the gold to pay you back. I just wanted to find you to see if you were okay.

Or maybe you forgot the amount of gold you lent me. But when you lent me the gold before, I remember very clearly that I told you that I wouldn't pay it back, you said never mind" - Ms. Hai Nam said and said that in 2010, there was a time when she had no intention of looking for her because of her difficult circumstances. However, in 2013 and 2015, she continued to look for her.

Then, Hai Nam asked: "Don't you remember me?".

The woman replied: "I miss you, but I'm also miserable. The roads are different now, and I have children now."

This woman also said she would not feel sad if Ms. Hai Nam did not return the money and gold.

After that, the woman also took the time to ask about the health of Hai Nam's relatives.

The woman replied: "No, it's dark, don't go out. Let's go when it's daytime."

After that, Ms. Hai Nam asked permission to hang up the call with the woman she was talking to so she could go sell goods, along with a message "send me your phone number".

At the end of the live broadcast, Ms. Hai Nam also sent her thanks to the online community.

"I'm very happy. Today, my volunteer group went to deliver rice to the elderly. On the way back, I received a text message from you, 'Hai Nam, I recognized you', but neither you nor I wanted to make a fuss...

The online community also said that this story is a like-bait. I confirm that this story is 100% true. I just want to find my friend, everything else is not important to me" - Ms. Nam shared more.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on March 13, Ms. Hai Nam posted on Facebook an article looking for Ms. Nga (born in 1980, from Phu Tho) - the person who more than 20 years ago lent 8 taels of gold to treat her daughter's hemangioma.

Then, in 2008, Ms. Hai Nam lost contact with Ms. Nga. Since then, Ms. Hai Nam has tried many times to find her but to no avail.

After Ms. Hai Nam posted the article on Facebook, it received attention and shares from the online community, with the hope that this woman will soon find her benefactor.
