The match between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa is considered one of the "super classic" matches of Asian MMA. Both are currently the best kickboxers. However, the match in Saitama (Japan) on the evening of March 23 ended faster than fans expected.

Rodtang takes down Takeru

Rodtang Jitmuangnon - nicknamed "Iron Man" - took more than a minute to knock out his opponent. Notably, during the previous minute, the Thai boxer had mostly just "played around" with Takeru with kicks and a series of punches that had no significant threat. "Iron Man" had a moment of staggering but it was because he tripped over his own feet.

At around 120 seconds, Rodtang Jitmuangnon suddenly accelerated and attacked strongly. Takeru Segawa clearly showed confusion and was not ready for defensive moves. The Thai boxer threw 3 punches, 2 times hitting the face and 1 time grazing Takeru's right ear.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon (27 years old) is the world's leading Muay Thai master. "Iron Man" is famous for his fierce fighting style, outstanding endurance and fearless fighting spirit. This fighter also competes in MMA and kickboxing. In Thailand, Rodtang Jitmuangnon is considered the number 1 icon of contemporary martial arts.

Meanwhile, Takeru Segawa was a Japanese kickboxing prodigy. The 32-year-old boxer is famous for his fast, powerful fighting style. Participating in the K-1 tournament system, Takeru Segawa became the first boxer in history to win three different weight classes: Super Bantamweight, Featherweight and Super Featherweight. This boxer once created a streak of 35 consecutive wins that lasted for a decade.
