This is a meaningful music project, carrying a profound historical story towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The MV was released this morning on the online platform YouTube at: MV Ama's Souvenirs.
Inspired by the article “Ama’s keepsakes” by journalist Alang Nguoc published in Quang Nam Culture Monthly (March 2025), the song recreates the war memorabilia preserved by his family for more than 50 years, such as the ao-go, the photo album of his comrades, and his father’s medals.
These relics are not only family heritage but also historical evidence, evoking gratitude and pride for previous generations.

With its simple melody and lyrics, and touching images from the life of journalist Alang Nguoc's family in Song Kon commune (Dong Giang), the song touches the hearts of listeners. The MV was filmed in the living space of Alang Nguoc's family, realistically recreating the life of the Co Tu people in western Quang Nam.
Simple, intimate scenes, filmed with the support of the Co Tu community, friends and relatives, create a vivid story about a veteran's family.

Journalist Alang Nguoc took on the roles of singer, actor, scriptwriter and producer. In nearly a month, he and his family and colleagues rushed to complete the MV with a budget of almost “zero VND”. He shared that the MV “Ama’s keepsake” is a beautiful story reminding the younger generation of gratitude and national pride, especially towards the meaningful event of the 50th anniversary of the country’s reunification.
The MV "Ama's keepsake" is not only a musical product but is also expected to be a bridge between generations, spreading historical values and gratitude.
“After more than 50 years of storage, each relic is a beautiful story, reminding children and grandchildren of pride and gratitude to previous generations. That is even more meaningful and valuable when the whole country is looking forward to celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Hopefully the MV will bring the audience a realistic and touching perspective on the silent sacrifices of previous generations, contributing to honoring the land and people of Quang Nam in the resistance war for independence and national reunification" - journalist Alang Nguoc confided.
