Poet Tran Dang Khoa interacts with students of Can Tho University

(CTO) - On the evening of October 30, the School of Education and the Faculty of Political Science, Social Sciences and Humanities (Can Tho University) jointly organized a meeting and exchange program with poet Tran Dang Khoa.

The program, themed “Timeless Poetry”, was impressed by the passionate and emotional sharing of poet Tran Dang Khoa. More than 1,000 audiences, including lecturers, students, and teachers from primary and secondary schools in the city, participated in the exchange and shared their love of literature with the speaker.

Students asked questions and interacted with poet Tran Dang Khoa.

More than 1,000 spectators enjoyed the performance of the famous poet.

Poet Tran Dang Khoa focused on topics such as memories of the children's poems that made his name, his literary path and poetry career, and reading culture in the digital age. In particular, his talk greatly inspired students majoring in Literature and Literature Pedagogy at Can Tho University.

Many interesting details about the poems were shared by him in the program.

Poet Tran Dang Khoa, born in 1958, originally from Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province (now Hai Phong city). He began writing poetry at the age of 8, graduated from Nguyen Du Writing School, and graduated from M. Gorky World Literature Academy (Russia).

He was known as a “Poetry prodigy”, having his poems published in newspapers at the age of 8, and at the age of 10 he published his first collection of poems “From the corner of my yard” and then “The corner of the yard and the sky”. His poems captured the hearts of many generations of poetry lovers such as “Uncle Ho’s photo”, “Our village’s rice grain”, “Oh moon... where do you come from?”, “Sick mother”, “Coconut tree”, “Rain”, “Morning in my house”, “Uncle Worm’s funeral”, “Why don’t you come back, Vang?”, “Waking up the betel nut”…
