To ensure the safety of the racetrack, racing boats, athletes as well as other inland waterway vehicles. The Department of Construction of Can Tho City said that inland waterway traffic on the Maspero River will be temporarily suspended for these two days, from 11:30 a.m. on November 4, 2025 until the end of the Ngo boat racing competitions; all inland waterway vehicles traveling on the canal section from the Dinh River junction to Maspero Bridge will be temporarily suspended to serve the Ooc Om Boc Festival - Ngo Boat Racing in Can Tho City in 2025.

During this time, the authorities will arrange forces to regulate and guide traffic in the festival area. Mr. Vo Hoang Dien Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Can Tho City, said: "During the Ngo boat race, the waterway traffic police will arrange forces to block watercraft passing through this area". The Department of Construction also requested organizations, individuals, and vehicle owners to proactively arrange appropriate itineraries and strictly follow the instructions of the regulatory force to ensure traffic safety and create favorable conditions for the organization of the festival.

Ooc Om Boc Festival - Ngo Boat Racing in Can Tho City is a unique traditional cultural, sports and tourism event of the Khmer people in the South, held annually, attracting a large number of people and tourists from inside and outside the region to visit and cheer.
