Vietnam Exhibition Hall at EXPO 2025 OSAKA-'Inclusive Society with People at the Center'

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of April 12, 2025, the opening ceremony of the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan took place. On the first opening day of EXPO 2025, ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Hourn visited the Vietnam Exhibition Hall with the theme "Inclusive Society with People at the Center".

The opening ceremony of the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka, Kansai, Japan was attended by Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, Crown Prince Fumihito and more than 1,300 guests.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, Honorary President of the Japan Association Organizing the World Exhibition 2025, declared: "We will bring to the world a new Japan."

This is the second time Osaka, Japan has hosted the World Expo. Recalling the 1970 Osaka EXPO, Emperor Naruhito said that when he was 10 years old, "I still remember very clearly how amazed I was when I saw the most advanced technological inventions at the 1970 EXPO... I hope that today's children will think about the society they want to live in after they grow up."

"The world is facing many crises and divisions. In such times, I hope that people from all over the world gather and discuss the theme of 'life' and explore the most modern scientific technologies, rich ways of thinking and diverse cultures - will have great meaning," said Japanese Prime Minister Ishiga Shigeru.

At the opening ceremony, students, including disabled students from schools in Osaka Prefecture, marched with flags of countries and international organizations participating in EXPO 2025. The unique performances, which blended traditional Japanese arts such as kabuki and drumming with contemporary art, left a deep impression on the audience.

The EXPO 2025 Organizing Committee estimates that around 140,000 visitors will attend EXPO 2025 on the first day of opening on April 13. However, some countries have had to postpone the opening of their Exhibition Halls due to incomplete preparations. The Vietnam Exhibition Hall at EXPO 2025 is organized and operated by the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Vietnam Exhibition Hall with an area of ​​300m2 is located in the area with the theme "Empowering Lives", near the Japan Exhibition Hall and the main traffic connection point of the East of the Exhibition campus.

Aiming at the general theme of EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai is "Designing the future society for our lives", the theme of Vietnam Exhibition Hall is "An inclusive society where people are centered".

With this theme, the Vietnam Exhibition House suggests a comprehensive and harmoniously developed society, looking from the experience of Vietnam, paying attention to all aspects in the development process, from economy, culture, education, technology, health, to environmental protection, community values ​​and gender equality, in which people are the center, people are both inspired to contribute and dedicate, and are the subjects who enjoy progress, prosperity, and happiness in an equal and sustainable way.

The Vietnam Exhibition House plays a role as a convergence point and spreads "proud stories about Vietnam" told to international friends about a society that takes good cultural values ​​as a foundation, puts people at the center, and uses endogenous strength for sustainable development in the era of striving, towards harmony, fairness, and leaving no one behind.

Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai includes the following main groups of activities: Daily visitor reception and guidance program; Art performance activities with 03 performances per day during the exhibition; Organizing cultural promotion and investment promotion events according to each month's themes; Regular programs on education, culture, interaction, and direct exchange with the public; Organizing Vietnam National Day; Coordinating with countries and international organizations participating in EXPO 2025 to organize events and art performances; Coordinating with domestic agencies, localities, and enterprises to organize promotional and promotional events; Promoting Vietnamese cuisine and souvenir products; Operating the Virtual Exhibition House on the online EXPO application.

World Expo is one of the three largest global events in the world (along with the World Cup and the Olympic Games), attracting most countries to participate at the State level. World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 on Yumeshima Island, Osaka, Japan with the participation of 158 countries and international organizations. With the theme of "Designing the Future Society for Our Lives", EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai hopes to attract 28 million domestic and international visitors.

One of the highlights of EXPO 2025 is the giant wooden circle design with a circumference of up to 2km surrounding the entire EXPO area called "The Great Circle". Each participating country, region and organization will have a National/Special Day when all attention will be focused on ceremonies and events specific to that country, region and organization.
