Several schools have recently launched joint programs to educate students about the risks, tactics of cybercriminals, and how to handle unusual situations to help them raise awareness and proactively protect themselves against the risks of cyber fraud.
Students of Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da, Hanoi, in an exchange with cyber security expert Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC) on the topic "Raising awareness of online safety and proper behavior in cyberspace" on the morning of November 14, were informed about many new forms of fraud that are increasing, such as: impersonating acquaintances to borrow money, recruiting online collaborators, hijacking social network accounts, impersonating authorities, online kidnapping...

Vividly illustrated situations, interspersed with games to experience real-life situations, watching videos about current fraud technologies, and interactive Q&A sections help students understand and remember easily so they can prevent themselves from becoming victims.

At the same time, expert Hieu PC also guided students to recognize fraudulent calls and signs on the internet and how to handle such situations.
Principal of Phan Huy Chu High School Cao Thanh Nga said that the school will strengthen the provision of "digital antibodies" to students through activities of educating on cyber safety skills; closely coordinate with parents; connect with the police force to update warnings; build a healthy and secure digital environment; and at the same time, enhance the role of homeroom teachers and the Psychological Counseling Board in supporting and protecting students against the risks of online fraud.

"We believe that with the support of family - school - society, especially the authorities, the work of preventing high-tech crimes in schools will be increasingly effective, contributing to ensuring safety and comprehensive development for students," said Ms. Cao Thanh Nga.
The program received the attention of students, they said that with the information from the exchange session with experts, they grasped more aspects of using social networks safely, data security, and knowing how to prevent online fraud. This helped them raise awareness as well as be ready to continue sharing with relatives and the community, contributing to the fight against crime in cyberspace.
