Buriram United lost 1-2 when traveling to Hang Day Stadium to face Hanoi Police Club in the group stage of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1. However, coach Osmar Loss Vieira affirmed that the rematch between the two teams at 7 p.m. on May 14 will be completely different.
The head coach of Buriram United Club assessed that Hanoi Police is one of the two teams with the best performance, possessing almost absolute scores, before winning the right to participate in the final match of the Southeast Asian C1 this season.

The 49-year-old Brazilian strategist assessed that the representative of Vietnamese football has a very solid, well-organized and methodical defense and midfield. This will make it difficult for Buriram United players to organize pressing in the home field.
"We are used to the pressure of important matches. Our goal is to win the championship. This will be a different match from the group stage, the match is 180 minutes long, not 90 minutes. I also don't think there is any advantage in the final because if we don't get a favorable result, there will be a lot of pressure on the whole team even though we are playing at home" - Coach Osmar said at a press conference on May 13.
Theerathon Bunmathan is the captain of both the Thai national team and Buriram United Club.
Meanwhile, defender Theerathon Bunmathan expressed his joy at "reuniting" with coach Polking. The Thai star said: "Mr. Polking and I have had many good memories. In the upcoming match, we will also compete and meet again the Vietnamese players who are playing for the Hanoi Police. This will be a match worth looking forward to."
Sending congratulations to the recent AFF Cup championship of the Vietnamese team, Theerathon did not forget to emphasize: "These are two completely different tournaments. Although they are in the away team position and will face some difficulties, Buriram is confident in its good preparation and aims for victory and the Southeast Asian Cup C1 championship."
The first leg of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1 final will take place at Hang Day Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on May 14 and will be broadcast live on FPT Play platforms. The second leg between the two teams will begin at 7:30 p.m. on May 21 at Chang Arena.
