Associate Professor Nguyen Van Tung also affirmed that the two words "education " in the name of the Vietnam Education Publishing House are not only a title but also a guideline for all efforts and contributions to the cause of "growing people".
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung, in the glorious historical flow of the nation, Vietnamese has always held a particularly important position. Vietnamese is not only a simple means of communication but also the national soul and quintessence of the nation; it is the place to preserve and transport cultural and historical values; it is the sacred thread connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts wherever they are.
For the Vietnamese community in Thailand - a community with a tradition of patriotism and deep attachment to their homeland, preserving, maintaining and promoting the beauty of the Vietnamese language has a profound and sacred meaning.
Recalling the teachings and example of President Ho Chi Minh , Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung emotionally shared: during his lifetime, during his revolutionary activities in Thailand, beloved Uncle Ho always kept in mind the need to maintain and develop the nation's language and writing.
Following his example, the donation of the Vietnamese Bookcase by the Vietnam Education Publishing House today is not only an activity of material significance, but more profoundly, it is an action imbued with cultural, educational and national spiritual values, contributing to realizing Uncle Ho's wish.

The bookcase awarded this time includes more than 600 publications, carefully selected by the Vietnam Education Publishing House, with rich and diverse content, suitable for many ages and levels. From picture books for children who are just getting acquainted with their mother tongue through simple, familiar images and stories, to useful textbooks and reference books, compiled according to the general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, effectively serving students studying at Vietnamese language teaching facilities in Thailand.
There are also books on Vietnamese literature, history, and culture, helping readers understand more about the country and people of Vietnam, and fostering love for their homeland and roots. The diversity of genres and content ensures that the bookshelf will meet the needs and reading interests of many people in the community.
Cultivate love for Vietnamese
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung expressed his hope that this Vietnamese Bookshelf will become a reliable intellectual companion, a meaningful cultural bridge between generations in each overseas Vietnamese family. The books will be an effective tool for grandparents, parents and students to read and learn about the culture and history of the nation, thereby strengthening family ties and passing on the good values of the Vietnamese language.
In particular, the bookshelf will be a place to sow and nurture the love of Vietnamese, arousing national pride in the innocent souls of children growing up in the beautiful land of Thailand. Early exposure to Vietnamese books not only helps children master their mother tongue but also helps them preserve their cultural identity, not forgetting their roots even though they live far away from home.
