On the evening of August 21, the first general training session in preparation for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 was held, leaving many impressions on the people.
The military parades and marches, after finishing their training at Ba Dinh Square, continued to move through the streets amid the cheers and encouragement of the people. Among them were three foreign military groups participating, including Russia, Laos, and Cambodia, at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense .

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation sent an honor guard of the Preobrazhensky Regiment consisting of 30 servicemen. This is a special unit whose history of honor guard is closely linked to the legendary Preobrazhensky Regiment, a symbol of Russian military glory and honor.
Currently, the Preobrazhensky Regiment is responsible for welcoming heads of state and participating in major military parades.

The Lao Ministry of National Defense sent 120 soldiers, including 20 soldiers who participated in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's National Reunification Day, and 49 soldiers from the bloc to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War in the Russian Federation.


Meanwhile, the Royal Cambodian Army sent 120 officers and soldiers to Vietnam to participate in the parade.
