Many museums and theaters open free of charge on the occasion of September 2nd holiday

Ho Chi Minh Museum, Vietnam National Museum of History, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater... open free of charge to serve people on the occasion of September 2nd holiday.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater open their doors to the public free of charge.

This is one of the activities to arouse national pride, while contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese culture, country and people to international friends.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung requested that museums under the ministry open their doors free of charge to serve the public and international tourists from September 1 to 3.

On this occasion, museums and organizations organize many display and exhibition activities.

Ho Chi Minh Museum will organize a special exhibition on 80 years of the People's Public Security recording Uncle Ho's words (expected to open on August 15), a special exhibition on Independence Autumn to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (expected to open on August 26) and an oil painting exhibition on Independence Spring in the museum's outdoor space (expected to open on September 2).

The Vietnam National Museum of History plans to open the special exhibition " Popular Education - Lighting Up the Future" on August 22.

The Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts will organize the exhibition Children of the Fatherland (expected to open on August 15) and the exhibition Artificial Intelligence in Applied Fine Arts (expected to open on August 22).

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City plans to open the exhibition Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a Man.

Also on the occasion of September 2, the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups directed the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village to organize many attractive activities, introducing the traditional culture of ethnic groups through the highland market space and cultural and artistic activities to celebrate National Day of the ethnic communities living in the village.

It is expected that the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will serve about 50,000 visitors during the 3 days of free opening.

The Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theatre will also open its doors for free from September 1 to 3 with water puppet shows and other art and music programs.

On the occasion of September 2nd, public museums under the management of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City such as the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History, Ho Chi Minh City Museum; War Remnants Museum and Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts will offer free admission to Ho Chi Minh City residents.

Museum representatives remind visitors to remember to bring their ID cards and student cards when coming to the museum to receive free admission tickets.

From 2024 to present, visitors who are citizens of Ho Chi Minh City or students studying in Ho Chi Minh City will be exempted from entrance fees to the above museums on the occasion of anniversaries and other events of the city.
