Regarding the programs, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Duc Hoang said: The special event that is awaited by people nationwide and international friends - the national celebration, parade, and march on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day will be broadcast live on VTV1 from 7:00 a.m. on April 30 and from 6:30 a.m. on VTVgo, conveying the heroic atmosphere from Le Duan Street, Bach Dang Riverside Park, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Le Loi Street - Ho Chi Minh City.
What makes Vietnam Television's unique and distinctive mark in the country's important events are special programs that combine ideological and political depth and delicate artistic emotions, which are meticulously and methodically produced, and are increasingly upgraded in scale, technology, and form of expression. The highlight is the TV bridge "Vang mai khuc khai hoan" broadcast live at 20:10 on April 27 on VTV1 channel. The program is an artistic epic performed at the following locations: Thong Nhat Park (Hanoi), Hien Luong Flag Tower, Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site (Quang Tri) and Saigon Riverside Park, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City).

The highlight of the series of programs celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day are VTV Special and Documentary programs, reflecting the depth of history, human values and the spirit of reconciliation. Specifically, VTV Special "The Duel of Wills" is a true story from the perspective of Mr. Craig McNamara - son of former US Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara.
