(DN) - On the morning of May 26, a working delegation from Bien Hoa city led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duy Tan visited and encouraged the family of a student who died after being swept away by floodwaters in Quarter 2, Long Binh Ward.

Sharing condolences over the passing of NTKN (11 years old) after the tragic accident, Bien Hoa city leaders hope the family will soon overcome the pain and great loss.

Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee Nguyen Duy Tan presented 25 million VND to the family. At the same time, a representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city also presented 5 million VND in support.

On the same morning, leaders of the Party Committee and Long Binh Ward government also visited and encouraged N's family. The Board of Directors of Phan Boi Chau Primary School (Long Binh Ward) also directly presented more than 205 million VND from donations from staff, teachers, students and parents of the whole school to the family.

Besides, many other organizations, agencies and units in Bien Hoa city also came to express condolences and support the family.

Earlier, on the afternoon of May 24, N. and some friends in the neighborhood were bathing in the rain. Suddenly, N. slipped and fell into a nearby stream and was swept away. N. had just finished the 5th grade program at Phan Boi Chau Primary School a few days before the tragic accident happened.
