
Established in 2012, by 2013, the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Table Tennis Tournament had become an annual tournament organized by Hanoi Moi Newspaper and received the attention of many athletes.
This year, the tournament takes place at Cau Giay Stadium ( Hanoi ) from November 7 to 9, 2025. In total, nearly 400 players from 80 units compete in 12 events, notably the increase in the number of teams participating in the amateur men's team event, up by dozens of teams compared to last season, promising dramatic and surprising matches.
Athletes come from many provinces and cities across the country such as Vinh Long, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Da Nang, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong, contributing to the diversity and high professional quality.
The highlight of this year's season is the participation of former national players such as Vu Thi Noel En, Nguyen Bich Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Mai, Nguyen Tuan Quynh, Vu Quang Hien, along with current top players such as Nguyen Dang Hiep, Bui The Nghia, Vu Manh Huy, Nguyen Nhu Phong, Tran Manh Cuong, Nguyen Hoang Lam, Ta Hong Khanh, Le Van Duc, Lam Thu Cuc, Hoang Tra My, Tran Dieu Linh and Vu Hoai Thanh.
This year's tournament includes 12 competitions, from men's singles with leaders, advanced men's team, amateur men's team, advanced men's singles, amateur men's singles under 45 years old, women's singles 45 years old and over, women's singles under 45 years old, men's doubles with leaders, amateur men's doubles 45 years old and over, mixed doubles over 45 years old, mixed doubles under 45 years old to women's doubles over 45 years old.
Each athlete can register for a maximum of two competitions, according to the Table Tennis Competition Law issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The tournament uses a DoubleFish 235 green table and a mat that meets the professional competition standards of the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation.
The Organizing Committee will award trophies, flags, medals and bonuses to individuals, pairs and teams winning first, second and third prizes, with a total prize value of more than 160 million VND, an increase of 10% compared to the previous season, promising to create a strong attraction for athletes and spectators.
