Ba Thuoc district is implementing 21 public investment projects. The district has been focusing on directing specialized agencies, communes and towns with land areas recovered for the project to speed up the site clearance progress.

Ba Thuoc: Many solutions to speed up site clearance progress Construction of the Provincial Road 521B bypass project, section passing through Doan market, Lung Niem commune (Ba Thuoc).

The project to bypass provincial road 521B, the section through Doan market, Lung Niem commune, has a total length of 1.8km, passing through Lung Niem and Co Lung communes. The section through Lung Niem commune alone is 1.7km long with 67 households affected by residential land and agricultural land with a total area of nearly 3 hectares. Mr. Bui Van Tung, Chairman of Lung Niem Commune People's Committee, said: To ensure a clean site for the construction unit, immediately after the project was implemented, the locality actively promoted on the radio system, through village meetings about the State's land acquisition policy. At the same time, in coordination with the district's Compensation, Support and Resettlement Board (HT&TDC), they conducted measurements, counting and publicly posted compensation prices right at the commune People's Committee headquarters and the village cultural house. In general, the majority of households have complied with the State's land acquisition policy. However, there are still many households that do not agree with the compensation price. Therefore, the locality has stepped up propaganda and mobilization work to each household. Up to now, 2.7 hectares of agricultural land with 59 affected households have completed site clearance. The remaining residential land area is related to 8 households, currently 4 households have received money and handed over the site, the remaining 4 households have not handed over because they are building resettlement houses. These households committed that after finishing building their houses, they will hand over the site to the construction unit.

It is known that 21 public investment projects are being implemented in the district with a total land area of 8,022 hectares for land acquisition as planned. In addition to issuing the land acquisition plan, the district has focused on directing specialized agencies and People's Committees of communes and towns with land areas recovered for the project to speed up the progress of land acquisition. In that spirit, after the investment decision is made, the District Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Resettlement Board, together with the People's Committees of communes and towns where the project passes, urgently carry out steps in land acquisition work such as promoting propaganda, organizing people's meetings, conducting measurements, counting, making lists... and making compensation payments.

Up to this point, 14 district projects have signed commitments with investors on land acquisition and clearance with an area of 4,848 hectares, have completed the measurement, inventory and payment for land acquisition and clearance for 3.2 hectares (60%). Among them, many projects have completed land acquisition and clearance such as the project to restore residential roads to serve the land acquisition and clearance of Dien Trung Industrial Cluster project, the project of the central hall of the cultural and sports center of Luong Noi commune, the project to build Lung Cao Kindergarten...

Some projects have not been implemented by the investors, so the site clearance has not been completed, thus affecting the overall site clearance progress of the district, such as the project to build a commune-level police headquarters in the district. In addition, the investment in building a resettlement area for households whose residential land is affected has been slow, so households have not been able to hand over the site to the construction unit.

Mr. Lo Xuan Hanh, Director of the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Ba Thuoc district, said: In addition to continuing to propagate and mobilize people to agree with the State's compensation policy, the district will promote the role of mass organizations in propagating and mobilizing members to comply with the land acquisition policy. In addition, the district will focus on removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up the progress of land acquisition for resettlement area construction projects for households subject to relocation. On the other hand, continue to sign land acquisition commitments, work with investors to develop specific land acquisition plans and progress for each project; resolutely carry out forced land acquisition for households, organizations and individuals who intentionally do not implement the land acquisition and handover decision when the rights to compensation and support from the State have been guaranteed in accordance with the provisions of law.
