
The event, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Culinary Association (FBA) in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Phu Ward, attracted more than 100 artists, chefs, businesses and international organizations to attend.
Inheriting and continuing the success of the 2023 Vegetarian Food Festival, the 2nd Vegetarian Food Festival in 2025 will be held on a large scale on an area of nearly 7 hectares at Binh Phu Park.
The festival opens up many spaces for connecting green cuisine with nearly 200 vegetarian booths displaying and promoting trade of businesses, restaurants, and OCOP-Organic-Macrobiotic food brands of the City and provinces.
In addition, within the framework of the festival, there are also many activity spaces for Waste Recycling Festival, Mega Livestream E-commerce Connection Fair and many cultural, artistic, community activities, talkshows, workshops, culinary performances...

During the 5-day Festival (from October 31 to November 4), the Organizing Committee expects to attract 150,000 visitors, becoming a "Green Festival meeting point" in Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to spreading vegetarian culinary culture and sustainable green lifestyle in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Viet, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Culinary Association and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, this year's festival continues to be one of the highlights of the city's culinary industry, gathering hundreds of booths from restaurants, businesses, chefs, culinary artists and famous vegetarian brands. The festival aims not only to promote the quintessence of Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine but also to encourage the community to choose a green, environmentally friendly lifestyle.
“Through this year’s festival, we hope to join the business community, chefs, artists and people in spreading the spirit of “clean eating and green living” so that every meal is an action for health, for the environment and for a sustainable future of Vietnam,” added Mr. Nguyen Tan Viet.

On the opening day, the Organizing Committee launched the “Join Hands for the Environment Festival - Green Binh Phu 2025”. This is the highlight of the festival with the model “Green Festival - Zero Waste” designed with a food waste classification, recycling and treatment program hosted by the Vietnam Food Bank Network (Foodbank Vietnam) and the GreenHero Project.
The program aims to spread the spirit of sustainable living, encourage people to practice a green lifestyle in daily activities, contributing to building a civilized and environmentally friendly community.
Not only for propaganda purposes, the Festival is also a space for practical experiences with many attractive activities: booths instructing on waste classification, food waste recycling, vegetarian food area, along with games and challenges on environmental protection.
In particular, at the event, the Organizing Committee presented 50 households in the area with 100 trees and 50 Compost Kits, including compost bins, biological products, sample compost bags and instruction manuals. This activity aims to encourage people to directly practice composting organic waste at home, contributing to reducing household waste and creating a natural source of fertilizer for growing plants.

On the opening day, the Vegetarian Food Festival also had outstanding activities such as: Green Future Chef Vietnam 2025 Competition for university students to compete in delicious vegetarian dishes, spreading passion for vegetarian cuisine and awareness of green lifestyle for community health.
In addition, in the afternoon, the “Green Master Chef Vietnam 2025” competition will take place. This is a playground to honor and create in processing, expanding vegetarian cuisine to the world , gathering 150 professional chefs representing restaurants, hotels, resorts, eateries, food production and trading companies with food origins across the country to attend.
In parallel, the festival also has the activity "Loving vegetarian meal - 1,000 free meals" for disadvantaged children and 200 gifts for lonely elderly people organized by Chef Action Network, Foodbank Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association (HCA) and the Volunteer Team of the City Artists Association to share love and spread the spirit of volunteerism to the community.

With a large scale of organization, rich content and profound humanitarian spirit, the 2025 Vegetarian Food Festival aims to honor the cultural values of vegetarian cuisine, promote green lifestyle, develop green economy, promote green tourism and spread the message of "clean eating - green living and sustainable development of Vietnam", promising to become one of the biggest cultural-tourism-culinary and community events of the year in Ho Chi Minh City.
