In recent times, Duy Xuyen district ( Quang Nam province) has made innovations in thinking, working, developing and improving the efficiency of the collective economy in the area. Promote production and consumption linkage
Mr. Dang Huu Phuc - Vice Chairman of Duy Xuyen District People's Committee said: "In recent years, the activities of cooperative economic organizations and cooperatives in Duy Xuyen district have contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the locality. The number of newly established cooperatives has increased significantly, from 18 cooperatives in 2012 to 29 cooperatives in 2023.

Although the operations of cooperatives still face many difficulties, most of the units have made great efforts to promote their role as "midwives" for farmers in production input services such as: land preparation, irrigation services, supply of seeds and agricultural materials, transfer of science and technology...
In addition, many cooperatives have linked with businesses and people to organize production associated with product consumption, especially key products such as: glutinous rice seeds, rice seeds, pig farming, mushroom growing, mulberry growing, chili growing, lotus growing for seeds, etc.

Typically, Duy Son Cooperative and Duy Hoa 2 Agricultural Cooperative have linked up to produce and consume rice seeds and glutinous rice seeds with an area of 280 hectares; Duy Thu Agricultural Cooperative and Duy Phu Agricultural Cooperative have linked up with people to grow fruit trees (guava pear, green-skinned grapefruit) with an area of nearly 60 hectares; Duy Phu Cooperative has linked up with people to grow and consume lotus seeds with an area of 71.7 hectares; Le Bac Cooperative (Duy Chau commune) has linked up to grow hybrid chili with an area of 35 hectares. Nhat Tuan Broom Commercial Agricultural Cooperative has actively participated in the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program....

Therefore, it can be considered that the collective economy, with a focus on Cooperatives, has actively contributed to the growth of the agricultural economy, promoting the transformation of economic and labor structures in Duy Xuyen district. It has made an important contribution to the exploitation of resources, participating in creating new products for the domestic and export markets, solving employment, and reducing poverty in rural areas.
Replicating collective economic models
To continue to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of the collective economy, recently, Duy Xuyen district has coordinated with provincial departments and branches to support the resolution of difficulties and act as a bridge for connection and cooperation between cooperatives and enterprises.
The District People's Committee regularly guides newly established and operating cooperatives and cooperative groups to choose suitable production and business models and effective organization methods, ensuring that the interests of members are closely linked to the interests of the cooperative.

Implementing Resolution No. 25 of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, Duy Xuyen district continues to promote the meaning, purpose and importance of developing cooperative economy and cooperatives in rural areas. Especially in the period of implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, associated with restructuring the agricultural sector.
Introduce and organize for typical farmers to visit and study new cooperative models and cooperative groups in the locality. Known to many customers for its many product lines from local agricultural sources such as: cereal powder, brown rice powder, brown rice tea, brown rice and seaweed bars, Tra Ly dried lotus seeds, etc. Ms. Pham Thi Duy My - Director of Duy Oanh Green Agriculture Cooperative (Duy Son commune) shared: "With the attention, support and favorable conditions from the locality, in recent times, the cooperative has promptly resolved a number of difficulties and obstacles.
Thereby, production and business activities are increasingly developing, product quality is improved, designs are innovated, gradually affirming the brand and having a certain position in the market not only for local consumers but also nationwide. Duy Oanh Green Agriculture Cooperative has linked production and consumption of clean agricultural products of local farmers, creating stable jobs for nearly 10 workers with an average salary of 5-6 million VND/person/month.
