Total tax revenue from e-commerce and digital economy activities reached 74.4 trillion VND, up 55% over the same period in 2024.
Notably, 158 foreign suppliers (FCs) have registered, declared and paid taxes via the Electronic Information Portal, with the total tax paid reaching VND5.7 trillion, up 41% over last year. At the same time, more than 100,000 households and individuals doing business using the electronic platform have also paid nearly VND1.1 trillion in taxes.
Notably, nearly 93,000 organizations and individuals doing e-commerce business paid up to 67.6 trillion VND, accounting for the majority of total revenue. To ensure transparency and efficiency in budget collection, the tax authority has reviewed more than 164,000 taxpayers, of which more than 416 billion VND was collected from businesses and more than 331 billion VND from 25,201 households and individuals.
From the above results, it can be seen that tax management in the e-commerce sector has had positive changes. However, it is necessary to continue to improve data infrastructure, strengthen connectivity with technology platforms and electronic payments to increase efficiency and limit revenue loss.
