Many banks temporarily suspend transactions to ensure safety during storm No. 13

Due to the complicated developments of storm No. 13, on the afternoon of November 6, many bank branches and transaction offices in the coastal communes and wards in the East of the province announced the temporary suspension of transactions to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

Not only applicable to counter transactions, some banks also temporarily suspend ATM operations in areas at risk of flooding and power outages; at the same time, encourage customers to prioritize using electronic banking services when they need to transfer money or make payments.

Banks also proactively checked all facilities, electrical systems and information technology equipment; moved documents, equipment and vehicles to high, safe locations, and prepared recovery plans after the storm.

Staff are on duty 24/7 to monitor weather developments and ensure smooth communication.

Bank representatives affirmed that as soon as the weather stabilizes, trading activities will be quickly restored to meet the needs of people and businesses, contributing to stabilizing production and life in the area.
