Strengthening the safety of power system operation during the rainy and stormy season

On the afternoon of November 6, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak, Nguyen Thi Thu An, said that the unit has requested units managing and operating the power system to strictly implement the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee on proactively preventing and implementing response plans to storm Kalmaegi and floods in the province.

At the same time, there must be plans to maintain power supply for natural disaster prevention projects and important loads; propaganda and reminders for people in areas where high-voltage power grids pass through not to encroach on the power grid safety corridor to avoid and minimize damage to people and property, ensuring the power system operates safely and continuously.

In coordination with local authorities, people inspected the power grid system invested by people themselves (pump stations for irrigation of industrial and agricultural plants) and low-voltage lines from behind the meter to the house to request repairs and fixes to ensure safe electricity supply and use according to regulations.

Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade also requested agencies, businesses, and people with power lines, transformer stations, and low-voltage grids (electricity project investors) to proactively coordinate with local Electricity to inspect and review vulnerable areas of the grid under their management to reinforce and repair, ensuring grid safety according to regulations.

Check and review carefully according to current technical requirements to ensure safety for people and equipment. Individuals and units that do not comply will be held responsible before the law when an incident occurs.

To proactively prevent and promptly respond to unusual weather developments, minimize damage caused by natural disasters, ensure electrical safety, and provide electricity to people before and after storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) makes landfall, local authorities closely coordinate with grid management and operation units to promptly respond and reduce damage caused by natural disasters; propagate and mobilize people and businesses to strictly comply with regulations on electrical safety during the rainy and stormy season.
