On the evening of December 24, Ho Chi Minh City residents and tourists flocked to the city center to have fun and relax on the occasion of Christmas.

In particular, the area around Notre Dame Cathedral - decorated with 500 km of bright LED lights - attracts a lot of people to come and see and take photos.

Since July 2017, the church has begun a major renovation and repair. Although it is still under construction this year, the church is still decorated with a bright and eye-catching appearance, creating excitement for many people.

At night, crowds of people flock here, including locals and tourists from all over, all wanting to admire the magnificent beauty of the church in brilliant LED lights.

This is the second time the church has been decorated for Christmas since its renovation in 2017.

Han (in Tan Binh) shared: "This year's Christmas weather was pleasant, so I took advantage of the opportunity to go to the downtown area early with my friends to enjoy the bustling atmosphere here."

All the roads leading to the center of Ho Chi Minh City are crowded and congested because people go out to celebrate Christmas. Nguyen Hue Street, Notre Dame Cathedral, Diamond Plaza (District 1) are packed with people.

According to Tien Phong, from 7 p.m., the number of people pouring into the central area increased, making traffic on some routes very difficult.

Authorities must work at full capacity to resolve traffic jams.

On Hai Ba Trung Street, the section passing Tan Dinh Church (District 3), there was partial congestion due to thousands of people coming here to attend Christmas mass.

The church grounds were packed with people both inside and outside.

During the ceremony, many people had to stand outside to watch the ceremony on screen.
