Elon Musk - the richest man in the world with a fortune of more than 500 billion USD - has just received approval from Tesla shareholders for a huge salary package of 1,000 billion USD. This milestone could make him the first "trillionaire" in history, if the company achieves a capitalization increase of up to 466%.
Specifically, on November 7, more than 75% of Tesla shareholders approved a potential compensation package worth $1,000 billion for CEO Elon Musk - the highest in global corporate history.
The bonus will be paid if Tesla achieves its capitalization, revenue, and profit targets, including increasing its capitalization to $8,500 billion (eight times its current value) and commercializing millions of self-driving cars, humanoid robots, and robotaxi services.
It sounds far-fetched, but if Musk does indeed hit the $1 trillion mark, the question is: What can that massive sum of money buy? According to CNN, the richest man on the planet can buy some unimaginable things.

With $1 trillion, Elon Musk could buy every car sold in the US in a year. However, this is not a wise investment because cars start to lose value as soon as they leave the parking lot.
Starbucks CEO currently earns nearly $100 million a year. With a trillion-dollar fortune, Musk could employ 10,000 people on that salary, which is equivalent to running 10,000 global coffee chains, if he wanted to expand into the beverage industry.
The world's largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, costs about $2.15 billion. Musk could buy 465 of them, the size of the entire US Navy. This is a personal fleet that can help him and his friends travel across the oceans.

With a US population of around 340 million, Musk could give each person nearly $3,000. This is a symbolic act of generosity but also carries the risk of inflation if implemented on a large scale.
Even if he generously gave every one of the planet's 8 billion-plus people a 12-pack of Coca-Cola, he would still have money left over - an unprecedented global marketing campaign.
If you spent $40 every second without a single day off, it would take you 792 years to spend $1 trillion – that's more than eight centuries of continuous luxury.
And if you think America's massive national debt—some $38 trillion—is unimaginable, remember: That's only the equivalent of 38 billionaires like Musk in the future.
