The joy of having a cultural house

When the hot summer sun cools down, it is also the time when people in residential area 2 invite each other to go to the cultural house to relax, participate in exchange activities, and practice sports. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a member of the elderly association in the residential area, shared: The cultural house is located inside the traffic axis, ensuring a quiet and safe space, so the elderly often come here to walk and exercise. Children on summer vacation have a playground equipped with some outdoor sports equipment. The most crowded time is in the late afternoon, when women and young people join in playing volleyball, both exercising, improving health, and creating a bond of affection between the village and the community.

In addition to the outdoor space for community activities, Group 2 also takes advantage of the adjacent facilities of the ward cultural house to attract children inside and outside the group to participate in useful sports activities, creating a healthy playground. Tran Duc Phuc in Group 6, Quynh Lam Ward shared: Although my house is in a different group, I still ride my bike here almost every afternoon to participate in the 1/6 Table Tennis Club of Hoa Binh City. When I feel tired from practicing, I walk around the campus of the cultural house to relax and breathe in the fresh, airy air.

Group 2, Quynh Lam Ward has 193 households with a total population of about 900 people, 2 ethnic groups Muong and Kinh living together. Implementing Resolution No. 49/NQ-HDND dated December 18, 2021 of the People's Council, the City People's Committee approved the project to arrange, convert, allocate land for construction, repair, upgrade, and expansion of cultural houses in hamlets and residential groups in the area by 2025, the Party Committee and the authorities of the residential area have actively promoted and mobilized the entire population to agree and support this policy. Since then, households have highly agreed to contribute 70% of the cost along with 30% of the State's support fund to build the cultural house.

In March 2024, the cultural house project in Group 2 was completed and put into use. The people in the group were excited and happy, 100% of households sent representatives to join in the inauguration ceremony of the project. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Luan, Secretary of the Party Cell of Group 2, in addition to the meaningful investment support funding from the State, the cultural house project mobilized contributions from cadres, party members, people from all walks of life and a number of organizations, individuals and philanthropists.

The cultural house has a total construction cost of over 800 million VND, with a fairly synchronous investment in cultural institutions, with a scale of nearly 200 seats. The project creates conditions for people in the group to have a place to meet, propagate and disseminate the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities. Recently, at the cultural house, a number of programs and activities have left their mark, such as: cultural exchanges with the Intergenerational Club of Bui hamlet, Nhan Nghia commune (Lac Son); friendly volleyball matches for men and women with Ky Son ward; exchanges, learning and exchanging experiences with the Veterans Association of Yen Trung commune, Yen Phong district ( Bac Ninh ) ...
