Up to now, Dinh Quan district has achieved advanced new rural standards. The whole district has 8 communes meeting model new rural standards and 13 model residential areas have been recognized.
Government and people join hands and unite
To achieve the title of model residential area, residential areas need to strive to achieve a series of targets and criteria on environment, landscape, traffic, culture, health,education , social order and safety, civic awareness... In which, the landscape and environment criteria are one of the criteria that require high requirements, not only ensuring cleanliness and beauty from house to alley, but also village roads and alleys must be concreted, ensuring light - green - clean - beautiful.
Thanks to the appropriate methods of local authorities and the solidarity and unity of the people, activities and movements to build model residential areas in many communes have been actively participated by the people. In particular, in building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape, many localities regularly organize campaigns to plant and care for flowers on the roads to create habits among the people.
Ms. Pham Thi Kim, a resident of Residential Area 5, Hamlet 4, Phu Ngoc Commune, expressed: “People here live in solidarity, ready to join hands with the local government to build a model residential area and a model new rural commune. We actively participate in activities such as: building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment, ensuring security and order for residential areas, participating in inter-family fire prevention and fighting groups…”.
Similarly, Mr. Doan The Thin, a resident of Residential Area 5, Hamlet 1, Gia Canh Commune, shared: “We see that the Campaign to Build a Model Residential Area is truly an important task of the local government and brings a lot of meaning to the people in the area. Through propaganda and mobilization activities, people unanimously build a model new rural area. People unite and coordinate with the locality to maintain security and order, maintain a civilized lifestyle, keep houses and alleys clean... With the determination to maintain and develop a model residential area, I and the people will strive to continue to enhance the village spirit, preserve the landscape and living environment in the locality to always be bright - green - clean - beautiful".
Vice Chairman of Gia Canh Commune People's Committee Tran Van Hieu said: "The process of building model residential areas in the commune has received the consensus and unanimity of officials from the commune to hamlets and local people. At the beginning of the implementation, there were still some people who did not understand the benefits of building model residential areas, but after being propagated and mobilized by commune officials and hamlet representatives, many people understood and agreed with the locality in building model residential areas in the area. Up to now, the commune has completed the construction of 2 model residential areas".
In early June, Dinh Quan district held a ceremony to announce and receive model residential areas and model new rural communes in the area. Accordingly, 8 residential areas were recognized as model residential areas, including: Residential Area 6-7 (Tam Bung Hamlet, Phu Cuong Commune), Residential Area 10-11-12 (Don Dien 2 Hamlet, Tuc Trung Commune), Residential Area 2-3-4-5 (Hamlet 4, Phu Ngoc Commune), Residential Area 4 (Hamlet 4, Phu Loi Commune), Residential Area 7-8-21 (Hamlet 2, Phu Hoa Commune), Residential Area 16-23 (Hamlet 4, Phu Hoa Commune), Residential Area 4-5-6 (Hamlet 1, Gia Canh Commune) and Residential Area 3-4-5 (Hamlet 7, Gia Canh Commune).
Striving to build livable countryside
After more than 14 years of implementing the New Rural Construction Program, including building model residential areas, the rural face of Dinh Quan district has taken on a new vitality, aiming to build and develop livable rural areas in the area.
Ms. Vu Thi Diep, a resident of Zone 4, Hamlet 4, Phu Loi Commune, said: “When the model residential area in the locality was completed, the roads were always clean, beautiful, and spacious. People’s lives were getting better and better; the environment and landscape in the residential area were kept clean, and security and order were stable…”.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, a resident of Residential Area 2, Hamlet 4, Phu Ngoc Commune, shared: “After building a model residential area in the locality, the roads have become more spacious and airy. This helps people improve their living standards, makes traveling and doing business more convenient, and improves the economic life of the locality; especially, security is always ensured in the residential area.”
Through the construction of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and the development of model residential areas in the area, the rural appearance of Dinh Quan district has changed positively, production activities have developed stably, and the socio-economic infrastructure has become increasingly synchronous. In addition, the residential area landscape has clearly improved, political security has been maintained, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved.
Vice Chairman of Phu Ngoc Commune People's Committee Mai Trong Hoa said that according to the assessment of the investigation into the construction of new rural areas, in 2024, the average income per capita in the commune will reach 98.5 million VND. The local road system has been solidified. The roads are always taken care of to ensure brightness - green - clean - beautiful. The locality has always resolutely implemented the work of building advanced new rural communes, model new rural areas, as well as actively responded to the movements launched by the province and district to build model residential areas in the area.
Chairman of Dinh Quan District People's Committee Tran Nam Bien emphasized that the Party Committee, government and people of the communes in the area need to promote the viewpoint that building new rural areas is a long-term, regular and continuous process, with a starting point but no end point. In the coming time, when implementing the 2-level local government model, many new development spaces will be opened up for the communes. Therefore, the local government and people in the area need to continue to promote the achieved results in building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas, as well as constantly strive, be more determined and always be ready to be proactive to overcome challenges and take advantage of new development opportunities.
