On this occasion, the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association was honored to receive a congratulatory flower basket from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .
Speaking at the meeting, President of the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association Ho Quang Loi reviewed special milestones in more than seven decades of Vietnam and Romania's development together.
75 years ago, Romania was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Romania has helped Vietnam train thousands of engineers, doctors, bachelors, and interns in the fields of science, technology, economics, culture, diplomacy, education, etc. Many people trained in Romania have become prestigious scientists and experts, many of whom hold important positions in the leadership apparatus at all levels of Vietnam.
Continuing the fine tradition nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, the Vietnam-Romania relationship has been increasingly expanded and deepened. The two countries continue to promote contacts and exchanges of high-level delegations and all levels; promote economic cooperation, considering it a pillar in bilateral relations; enhance mutual understanding through vibrant people-to-people exchanges; and closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums and international organizations.
Over the past time, the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association has made efforts to act as a bridge to promote cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economics, trade, education, culture, tourism, etc., thereby promoting the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between the two countries to develop increasingly well.
The Association has actively participated in activities organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, coordinated with the Romanian Embassy in Vietnam to carry out a number of practical activities... In April 2025, the Central Association coordinated with relevant units to organize an information exchange to contribute to promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Romania.

Speaking at the meeting, Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila shared about the meaning of Romania's National Day, as well as the achievements Romania has reaped in socio-economic fields.
Sharing about the Vietnam-Romania relationship, Ambassador Cristina Romila affirmed that the relationship between the two countries is built on a solid foundation of long-standing and close friendship. Vietnam is one of Romania's important partners in the Asia-Pacific region. Meanwhile, Romania plays an important role in promoting economic cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Vietnam.
Emphasizing that the relationship between the two countries has been making strong progress, the Ambassador expressed his belief that, based on political trust, Vietnam and Romania will continue to reap many good cooperation results, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
