1. One of the main objectives of the literary writing camps on the theme of the Armed Forces and revolutionary war is to create conditions for authors to write more works on the theme of revolutionary war, the armed forces and soldiers today. This year's camp has an additional special feature as it is considered the opening of a campaign to write novels and epic poems about soldiers, about the struggle for national liberation and protection... organized by the People's Army Publishing House from 2026-2030.

This year, the camp has the participation of 15 poets and writers from all over the country, with the person in charge being Lieutenant Colonel Xuan Hung - Head of the Literature Book Editorial Department of the People's Army Publishing House. Most of the authors are writers with a tradition of writing about soldiers, many of whom once directly held guns to protect the Fatherland. Typically, in the field of poetry, there are poets: Tran Anh Thai, Nguyen Viet Chien; in the genre of novels, there are writers: An Binh Minh, Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Pham Thanh Khuong, Ho Kien Giang , Phung Phuong Quy, Van Xuong, Chau La Viet... The creative camp also has the participation of 4 female writers who other writers liken to "4 flowers blooming along the trenches" including: Ho Thi Ngoc Hoai, Quynh Van, Nguyen Thu Ha and Dao An Duyen.

2. When participating in the writing camp, the authors all have serious preparation of materials and detailed outlines. In total, 15 days at the camp will be 15 days of diligently writing, exchanging, and discussing directions for implementing long-cherished topics.

Writer An Binh Minh takes readers to one of the fiercest wartime hotspots on the Truong Son range - Phu La Nhich hotspot (part of the ATP hotspot of Route 20 Quyet Thang). After his novels Mien lua chao and Mien co co which have made a splash in the literary world, Nguyen Minh Ngoc introduced a novel about the air force: Cadet Officer and an outline of a new novel about the fighting in the battlefield of Zone 6 (South Central and Central Highlands), where every piece of land and people are very familiar to the author. Writer Chau La Viet is nurturing a unique topic about the "Front Political Department" exploiting a rarely mentioned area, which is the work of propaganda officers on the battlefield with many sacrifices and losses. Other authors such as Pham Thanh Khuong, Ho Kien Giang, Phung Phuong Quy, Van Xuong... who were all soldiers at one time, are also promising to complete new works at this writing camp.

In the epic genre, the one that has received the most attention is probably poet Tran Anh Thai - who is considered to have contributed to the revival of the epic genre, having won the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2021. Tran Anh Thai is famous for the epic poem Casting Shadows on the Sun with poetic lines full of imagery: The group of people working hard under the sunset/ The sun falls after a harsh day/ In the sea in the early days of the land/ The frost melts and numbs life... Poet Nguyen Viet Chien has also won many poetry awards, including the 5-year Literature Award 2010-2014 for the epic poem about the sea organized by the Ministry of National Defense ; the Vietnam Writers Association Award 2016 for the poetry collection Fatherland viewed from the sea... Many people joke that Nguyen Viet Chien became famous with poetry about the sea and at the creative camp next to the waves of Nha Trang this year, he will have many new and promising sounds.

3. The stream of works about revolutionary soldiers and revolutionary wars is not only a source of emotional literature but also a collective memory, preserving the indomitable spirit, ideals of life and the noble sacrifice of an entire generation. Those pages are where soldiers return in the form of words, sometimes quietly and tormented, sometimes heroic and proud. For writers who once held guns, writing about soldiers is not simply a creative act, but a sacred duty to fallen comrades, a way to remember and repay those who sacrificed their lives for victory.

The war has passed, many traces of war are no longer there, including traces in the minds of generations born when the country was at peace. Therefore, for authors who were soldiers, they always want to write more, more deeply about the fate of soldiers on the fierce battlefield, about the simplicity and greatness in each march. Through their writings, they preserve the memories of war, not to nurture hatred, but to help future generations understand the value of peace today, originating from the blood and bones of their ancestors in the past. Writing camps like the 2025 writing camp on the Armed Forces and Revolutionary War in Nha Trang are opportunities for those writings to continue to be fueled, passed on and live forever.
