For nearly ten years, Mr. Nguyen Van Bac in Dich Trang village has been a familiar member of the sweet corn growing chain in Duc Chinh commune. For a production model to be able to stick with farmers for many years like that, linkage is the key.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bac said: "In the first years of the partnership, the company supported sweet corn seeds and fertilization techniques. But now, the company only supports seeds. The fertilization process is skillfully implemented by farmers according to VietGAP standards. For each sao of corn, after deducting expenses, we earn about 1.5 million VND in profit. Sometimes, the profit in the model is not as high as the market, but the output is always stable. We do not have to worry about product consumption."

The sweet corn growing linkage model in Duc Chinh commune helps farmers feel secure in production.

This spring-summer crop, Duc Chinh commune has about 40 hectares of sweet corn that are contracted by Hai Duong Agricultural Products Processing Joint Stock Company. Sweet corn is just one of the production linkage models between farmers and local businesses. In addition to sweet corn, Duc Chinh commune also has many value chain linkage models for carrots, chili, watermelon, melon, Korean vegetables, etc. The models all provide stable economic value, so farmers are confident in sticking with them. When it comes to agricultural production linkages in Cam Giang, it is impossible not to mention the commercial chicken egg production model in Cam Dong commune. Instead of each doing it alone as before, households have linked up to form a chain of 20 members. From there, the Cam Dong Commercial Egg Chicken Breeding Association was also formed. To ensure safe farming as well as consume all products for members, the association has developed a production plan, linking with businesses to produce stable and quality products. In 2021, Cam Dong chicken eggs were certified as 4-star OCOP products.

To produce quality chicken eggs, the association sets farming standards and applies them to all farms in the chain. Thanks to the good quality of eggs and the application of biosafety farming processes, the association's chicken egg products are highly appreciated by consumers. With a stable source of goods and clear contracts, the selling price of eggs from members is 200 - 300 VND/egg higher than the market price, depending on the time. Therefore, farmers are also assured to stick with the chain, and the supply to the market is always stable.

Chicken PT Company Limited in Cam Phuc Commune (Cam Giang) is one of the few slaughterhouses that basically meets environmental and food safety requirements in the province. The facility provides a closed chain of farming and slaughtering from farm to table.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, manager of the poultry slaughterhouse of Chicken PT Company Limited, said that the slaughterhouse model was supported with investment and construction in 2016 from the LIFSAP Project with a slaughtering capacity of 3 - 5 tons/day. 2 associated poultry farms were supported with breeds, feed and committed to raising according to the company's process. Poultry at these farms are slaughtered, processed, frozen and transported to collective kitchens in the province. Therefore, the food source is always guaranteed to be safe and of good quality when it reaches consumers.

According to Mr. Dao Huu Thuan, Chairman of Cam Dong Commercial Egg Poultry Association, the association raises poultry according to a production chain linked to product consumption. In addition to product consumption, the association also supports members with breeding techniques and disease prevention. Therefore, the farms of members in the breeding chain are all safe, without diseases that cause damage to poultry flocks.

According to the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Cam Giang district, the district's agricultural sector is undergoing strong changes. Many production models in the direction of linkage have been formed and maintained stably over many years. Initially, the linkage chains all received support from the State. Over time, the linkage chains became closely linked, operated stably and did not need support. Value linkage chains help bring stable profits to farmers and provide consumers with quality, safe products.

Unlike many other localities in the province, in recent years, the agricultural sector of Cam Giang district has stood out with many production linkage models associated with product consumption applied by many organizations and individuals. Instead of producing individually, farmers have formed production linkage chains. The formation of linkage chains helps them easily access science and technology, and control the production process well, thereby creating clean agricultural products that meet safety standards.
