In 2023, the patriotic emulation movement was widely deployed by the People's Committee of Nong Son district to agencies, units and localities in many forms. Thereby, encouraging cadres, people and businesses to actively work in production and business, contributing to the successful implementation of socio -economic, defense and security tasks and targets.
During the year, the locality completed 14/15 set targets. Of which, the total production value reached more than 1,810 billion VND (reaching more than 110% of the plan); the district-managed budget revenue reached more than 16.1 billion VND (reaching more than 131% of the plan); the total social investment capital is estimated at 250 billion VND (reaching 100% of the plan). Grain output reached more than 13,743 tons, an increase of 9.6% compared to 2022; the forest coverage rate reached nearly 67%.
The emulation movement "Nong Son joins hands to build new rural areas" has brought positive results. Up to now, the whole district has achieved 91 new rural criteria, an average of 18.2 criteria/commune. The locality has created jobs for 225 workers (112.5% of the plan); reducing 48 poor households (480% of the plan).
At the conference, the leaders of Nong Son District People's Committee awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee to 5 collectives and Certificates of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2023.
Nong Son District People's Committee honored 73 individuals with the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; awarded Certificates of Merit to 28 collectives and 91 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks in 2023.
