People's Artist Thanh Dien added that when his wife passed away, he asked People's Artist Thanh Hai to help him compose 3 verses of the song Mo Em (composer Vien Chau). At that time, his colleague quickly started working but refused to accept the cost with the reason: "Being able to work with you to compose a song for Ms. Hue makes me very happy. If you mention money, I will get angry with you." To People's Artist Thanh Dien, the two were like sworn brothers, ready to support each other in their work. "Now, every time I listen to that song, I remember Thanh Kim Hue and Thanh Hai," he said sadly.

People's Artist Thanh Dien said that before, when he called to ask about the situation, People's Artist Thanh Hai's wife informed him that her husband had been hospitalized with lung cancer and had to be hospitalized in the emergency room. Because for her, no matter how resonant her singing is, if she lacks the familiar sound of the guitar she has used for the past 41 years, it becomes meaningless. During his lifetime, People's Artist Thanh Hai was not only a teacher who guided many young generations with a passion for Cai Luong. Previously, the male artist also accompanied the organizing committee of the Cai Luong Academy to search for potential singers for the stage. When hearing the news of his teacher's passing, Quach Phu Thanh choked up and confided: "The teacher was always present in every practice day to work with us to send the audience works and stories of the times that were civilized, attractive, lyrical and humane."
