Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam in the role of the little dragon boy.
On the afternoon of January 10th, the children's play " The World of Toys and the Story of the Little Dragon Boy," written by Vuong Huyen Co and directed by Minh Quoc, presented its rehearsal at the Ho Chi Minh City Small Stage Theatre.

The story revolves around Mai, a little girl who lives in material comforts but rarely interacts with her mother. This makes Mai very lonely. Her world consists only of beautiful dolls and toys. However, Mai mistreats and abuses her dolls to vent her anger. Suddenly, one day, she is drawn into the world of toys, unable to find her way back unless she knows how to apologize. People's Artist My Uyen and director Minh Quoc worked very well in editing the story to vividly portray situations that resonate with a child's emotions.
The actors created a very charming and beautiful world of toys.
It was through this joyful encounter with the little dragon in that magical world that Mai learned many lessons and understood her mistakes. From then on, she learned to apologize, maintain tidiness, and always be polite so that she could return to her real world. Mai's mother also understood this; she was no longer so preoccupied with her business that she neglected her daughter.
People's Artist My Uyen always creates opportunities for young actors to participate in many new plays, including children's plays to entertain young audiences during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon.
Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam shared: "I like children's plays that have deep emotional resonance and contain many educational lessons. My biggest challenge was embodying the 7-year-old Dragon Boy. However, this artistic world brings me much joy because I can express the thoughts and actions of the audience, who are the same age as the character. From the characters of Little Mai and the Dragon Boy, there will be many valuable lessons to send to children on the occasion of welcoming the new year, which is also the Year of the Dragon" – said Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam.
