(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of November 17, the People's Council of Ca Mau province elected Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, with 100% of the votes in favor.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Lu Quang Ngoi, expressed his honor and emotion at being elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

"I am deeply aware that today's trust is the request, expectation and entrustment of the people," the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province expressed.

He pledged that in the coming time, with the assigned position, he will try his best, wholeheartedly, and make every effort to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, always maintain the qualities, ethics, and responsibilities of a government leader, always put the interests of the province and the people first.

In particular, he and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee and the Provincial People's Committee focused on economic development according to 4 pillars:

Complete connecting transport infrastructure, especially the system of highways, airports, and seaports; develop the marine economy; develop clean, high-tech agriculture, with shrimp and rice as the main products; promote service and tourism development based on existing advantages and historical values ​​and unique cultural identities of the locality.

Take better care of people's lives, especially those in disadvantaged and coastal areas, ensure social security, harmonious and sustainable development.

Maintain national defense and security, protect the sovereignty of the sea and airspace of the Fatherland.
