7-seat car deformed after multiple collisions on Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong highway

A series of accidents involving 4 cars on the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong highway caused a 7-seat car to be deformed, and police had to break the door to get some people out of the car.

On July 3, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7, Department 6, Traffic Police Department coordinated with functional forces to resolve the scene of a traffic accident on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway between 4 cars; at the same time, coordinated with functional agencies to verify the cause of the incident.

Initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. on July 2, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway in the direction from the West to Ho Chi Minh City through My Yen commune, Tay Ninh province, there was a series of accidents between 4 vehicles including a passenger car with license plate 67F-003.04, driven by driver Pham Thanh Tung (38 years old, residing in An Giang province); a container truck with license plate 50H-442.11 pulling a trailer with license plate 51R-155.58 driven by driver Thach Ngoan (36 years old, from Soc Trang province); a 7-seat car with license plate 68A-112.35 (driver's identity unknown) and a truck with license plate 50H-110.06 driven by driver Duong Le Viet Quang (23 years old, from Binh Thuan province).

The accident caused the 7-seat car to be crumpled, deformed, and stuck between the truck and the container truck. The driver of the 7-seat car and many people in the car were injured, and rescue forces had to break the door to take the injured out to the emergency room. The accident caused traffic congestion on the highway towards Ho Chi Minh City for a long time.

Immediately after the accident, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7, Department 6, Traffic Police Department and Highway Management Unit arrived at the scene, regulated traffic and verified the cause of the accident.

The case is still being verified and clarified by the authorities./.
