In the early morning of July 14, Palmer had an excellent performance to help Chelsea shock PSG to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The England international contributed two classy goals and had an assist for new signing Joao Pedro to score the final goal in a 3-0 victory.

Before the match, many people thought that “The Blues” had no chance against a seemingly invincible PSG. Speaking after the match, Chelsea’s brightest star had some strong words to send to the doubters.

Speaking to DAZN, Palmer said: "It feels amazing. Even better because everyone doubted Chelsea before the game and we knew that. It means a lot to the team to fight like this."

"My coach has a good system. He knows where the spaces are. He tries to free me up as much as possible and I just reward him with goals," said Palmer.

"He's building something special. People have said a lot of rubbish about us all season, but I feel Chelsea are going in the right direction," added the England star.

Palmer's harsh words towards Chelsea fans who doubted and criticized the team forced DAZN to apologize to viewers live on TV. In his direct response, Palmer showed no restraint.
