Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc - General Director of Petrolimex Aviation spoke at the event.

SAF is a synthetic hydrocarbon aviation fuel, produced from a variety of production technologies using a variety of feedstocks (waste oil, solid waste from agricultural by-products, vegetable oils or biomass such as algae, wood chips and renewable energy sources). SAF has similar chemical properties to jet fuel (Jet A-1) and is a fuel that can be processed (stored, blended, transported, loaded onto aircraft) in the same supply chain used for Jet A-1 fuel without requiring changes to infrastructure or even aircraft engines. Scientific research shows that the use of SAF fuel produces up to 80% lower carbon emissions than conventional aviation fuel and will have great significance for reducing emissions for the aviation industry - the transportation industry causes nearly 5% of global CO2 emissions.
