Mr. Nguyen Lan Cuong's record

After graduating with a degree in biology, Mr. Nguyen Lan Cuong worked at the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology. Working at the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology gave him the opportunity to access and research ancient human bones found in archaeological excavations. The number of ancient Vietnamese bones that Mr. Cuong has researched is therefore very large. In 2021, he was awarded a Vietnamese record certificate by the Vietnam Record Organization with the content "The person who researched the most ancient human remains in Vietnam (1093 individuals)".

In his research on ancient Vietnamese remains, Mr. Cuong has had important works. One of these is the research on the flesh bodies of two monks Vu Khac Minh and Vu Khac Truong at Dau Pagoda. After studying the statues of these two monks, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong announced that this was a form of burial statue. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong was also the head of a group of scientists who restored these two statues in 2003. This project saved two precious burial statues from further deterioration. Most recently, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong was also the one who researched ancient human remains found in a volcanic cave in Krong No, Dak Nong province. This discovery is considered a turning point.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong is also a musician with nearly 100 musical works, including choral works. He also held the position of Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Music Association.
